This review is likely to be very similar to the one I left on the other gummi sets I purchased. Though, the other sets turned out as beautiful as pictured, this set left much to be desired in the way of color design. I bought these dice with the excitement of having a project to do and beautiful, almost edible looking dice. Upon beginning to sand the 4 sets I bought, I noticed many of them had 3mm+ bubbles inside of them. This set in particular, 10 of the 12 dice had visible bubbles, obviously not including the ones that I couldn't even see into. I could understand small bubbles or microbubbles in any dice as no man or machine is truly perfect, but when these bubbles took up a good portion of the center of the die, and in some cases the sides of the dice as well, that was not okay with me. Especially not when they took away from the original beauty of these dice. I complained to customer service only to be given the equivalent of bubbles are inevitable, get used to it. This was my first time buying dice, and therefore first time buying from Kraken, so I gave them the benefit of the doubt and figured maybe they were right. Upon buying clear dice from another, smaller corporation, I realized that this story is not at all true. I had no dice that even had a hint of bubbles from this other company. To a certain extent, I can understand and forgive for they are two different companies, different types of dice and different levels of manufacturing can lead to different results, that doesn't explain the upsetting customer service. Though I was offered a refund or chance to exchange the sets I purchased for different, finished dice in a different line, I had already sanded and inked some of the dice before I found the issue and didn't feel comfortable giving up my hard work or receiving different dice that were also flawed. I felt as if I was talked down to and lied to in my conversation with customer service. As a business student I couldn't believe how uninterested a company seemed to been about a advertised or flawed product being delivered to a consumer.
I can happily say that I will never be buying from Kraken again and cannot stress how much I do not believe people should buy from them. I understand this is a biased review as I am upset with my interaction, but as someone who purchased 48 total dice, 26 of which had visible bubbles (not including the ones I couldn't see into) is unacceptable to me. Kraken's poor reputation has definitely shined in my interaction with them and I can not emphasize how much I discourage people from buying their products.
